Born and raised in Aberdeen, Angela is an artist who, from a young age, has always found solace in her creativity and feels it an important tool that everyone should develop in life. She is a painter and writer and will incorporate both in her work.
After spending her childhood deep in her own imagination and then realising Art was her favourite subject at school, she went on to study photography in Aberdeen and still has a great love for it, bringing what she learned to the structure and composition of her work.
Angela didn't begin painting until later in life when her children were older but now couldn’t imagine life without it. She loves to express herself using colour and mainly uses acrylic paint to explore that and build texture to convey the shape, movement, emotion or atmosphere of a subject.
She will work intuitively in both her painting and writings, with one often inspiring the other.
